Infrastructure Ontario (IO) – a Crown agency of Ontario, Canada – is procurement and commercial lead for all major public infrastructure projects in the Province. Working with multiple stakeholders in Toronto, IO is helping to deliver the infrastructure for the new subway that will alleviate congestion, improve mobility and support growth within the City of Toronto.

An initial framework agreement with IO was tendered, won and led by an international design consultancy, supported by Direx Solutions. This advisory framework has now been novated to Direx Solutions for a period of four years.

Direx Solutions, together with our partner Crossrail International, is supporting IO on the Toronto Metro Extension Programme with strategic advisory services relating to the planning and procurement of the city’s new subway extensions.

The Toronto-area transit expansion plan is the largest investment in new subways in Canada’s history.
