LONDON, UK – Direx Solutions has been appointed to the UK Department for Transport’s (DfT) STARThree Framework to provide technical and commercial advice as a member of Jacobs‘ supply chain.
The framework, known as the Specialist Technical and Commercial Advice for Rail and Other Transport Modes (STARThree) will support DfT’s portfolio of rail and other transport mode agreements, major projects and programmes, and its policy and strategic work in transport. Major transport challenges to be addressed include ageing infrastructure, decarbonisation, reliability and safety, and the needs of communities.
Jacobs has been selected by DfT as a PRIME consultant. Through close collaboration with its supply chain, Jacobs will maximise participation of Direx Solutions and other small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to access more diverse innovation and experience relating to transport strategy, planning, and operations for road, rail and aviation infrastructure projects. The DfT expects the framework to run over an initial two-year period through to Summer 2025, with an option to extend by one or two years.
