As part of its privatisation strategy, Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) invited tenders for Sydney’s Region 6, the first of its state-run regional Metropolitan Bus Service Contracts to be contracted out to the private sector.

Direx Solutions provided specialist technical support to a Singapore-based bus and metro operator, with the development of its tender for the Service Contract.

The scope of the three-month commission included:

• Operational review of service delivery model
• Development of tender strategy
• Planning and scheduling of bus services providing efficient service plan
• Review of technical and commercial solution development

Deliverables comprised an operational service review, including service specifications, preparation of full vehicle schedule and driver rosters, and service enhancement initiatives.
