Following on from our technical advisory role covering three initial stages of procurement (gap analysis, concept design, and tender management) for implementation of the Q-Shuttle at Qiddiya City, Saudi Arabia, Direx Solutions, in association with EY, was awarded the Stage 4 Advisor Consultancy contract to deliver the Integration, Monitoring and Commissioning (IMC) of the mobility service.

Subject-Matter Experts (SMEs) were provided across fleet, infrastructure, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and operations, embedding within the client team to guide each implementation workstream and coordinate with all internal and external stakeholders, including health, safety, security. environmental and sustainability.

Direx Solutions led the interface between fleet specification and factory visits, testing and commissioning, through to acceptance into service for this zero emission, first-of-a kind bus solution for the region.

Our SMEs also supported the development of the opportunity charging site and bus depot with full charging solution; oversaw ITS system design, integration and cybersecurity compliance; and directed operational readiness, service planning and safety assessments.

Through rigorous project controls and cross workstream coordination, Direx Solutions ensured the phased mobility system was delivered, tested and prepared for reliable opening day operations.
