DOHA/LUSAIL, QATAR
RKH Qitarat is a consortium made up of RATP Dev, Keolis and Hamad Group that was awarded the project to manage and operate Qatar’s first urban rail network, the Doha Metro and Lusail Tramway, by Qatar Rail.
The multi-billion, 20-year contract covers operation and maintenance (O&M) of the entire metro network comprising a total of three lines (Gold, Red and Green), 76km-long and 37 stations. The contract also covers O&M of four tram lines in Lusail, a new city located 15km from Doha. The tram network comprises 18km of track and features four lines equipped with 28 Alstom-built trams serving 25 stations, half of them underground.
Prior to contract award, Direx Solutions provided valuable support during the bidding phase to RATP Dev, a subsidiary of RATP Group, one of the world’s leaders in passenger transport operations and maintenance. Services included an independent review of the tender, providing expert advice to the firm’s strategic tender board.
