The On-Corridor Works project is the largest capital infrastructure project in Ontario’s GO Rail Expansion programme. Focused on upgrading core infrastructure and systems, it will transform the transportation network in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area over the next decade, enabling frequent, all‑day, two‑way service.

To ensure fit-for-purpose technology delivery, Metrolinx engaged Direx Solutions to facilitate various aspects of technology assurance and delivery, working internally within the organisation and collaboratively with ONxpress Transportation Partners, a consortium selected to deliver the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of rail infrastructure and rolling stock.

Over a six-year period, Direx Solutions played a critical technology leadership and assurance role within Metrolinx. Throughout delivery, Direx Solutions established and operationalised a comprehensive assurance framework, validating system requirements, designs, integration plans, testing strategies, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) outcomes.

The team provided strategic advisory on technology decisions, authored decision papers, and supported major go/no‑go determinations. Direx Solutions also facilitated scope change requests, guided technology procurement processes, and developed technology roadmaps to align systems with business objectives.
