Direx Solutions provided operational and maintenance advisory services in support of a Tier 1 Consultant for the design of the transport and utilities backbone infrastructure for the USD500 billion NEOM gigaproject, a new 170km-long linear smart city under construction in Tabuk Province in the northwest of Saudi Arabia.

Our scope involved the development of operations and maintenance concepts and strategies for railway infrastructure, depots, rolling stock, operating control centre, systems engineering, systems assurance, and operational planning for rail services and stations for NEOM’s proposed Group Mass Transit (GMT), high-speed rail and freight services.

Recommendations to the Client team and other project stakeholders were based upon accepted and relevant international best practice, standards and benchmarks, and considered exceptional operational service delivery, customer experience and sustainability.
