SEATTLE, WASHINGTON, USA – Direx Solutions, a world-leading specialist in transport and logistics, has announced the appointment of Gordon Glass as Vice President of Operations for the United States, based in Seattle, Washington.
Gordon has over 17 years of leadership, project management, operations and business development experience across a wide range of projects in the transportation sector throughout Europe and North America. His proven track record in passenger rail and autonomous vehicle operation has been gained with leading transportation companies First Transit (now TransDev), FirstGroup and Great Western Railway (GWR).

Prior to joining Direx Solutions, Gordon led Fixed Route Autonomous Vehicle Programmes and Rail Business Development in North America as a Director at First Transit. He was instrumental in First Transit mobilising its first rail contract in 2016 and developing rail strategy plans. Most recently, he led 11 autonomous vehicle projects across the United States, testing innovative technology, and also served as Ambassador for TransDev’s global autonomous vehicle community.
Gordon holds a BA in Business Management from Northwest University, Kirkland, Washington. He is a certified PRINCE2® Practitioner and an active member of several US rail committees.
